A painting should do more than fill a wall — my works are created to carry meaning and presence, spark conversation and embody values worth displaying.
Louisa Linton is a Scottish visual artist who has lived and worked in Montpellier, France, since 1984. Drawn south by the same Mediterranean light that once captivated Van Gogh, she found in Montpellier both a place to live and a landscape to inspire her art.
She holds a B.A. in French from the University of Edinburgh and diplomas in Fine Arts and Art Therapy from the University of Montpellier. After many years working as an art therapist with children and adolescents with profound learning difficulties, she now devotes herself fully to her own creative practice.
While her creativity extends into writing, clothing design, gardening, and music, her earliest and most enduring passions remain drawing and painting — the forms of expression that have shaped her artistic voice since childhood.
